I love, love, love this cake, it was such a joy to make and fitted the couples venue perfectly.
The couple married at The Victorian Barn in Blandford and without a SatNav I never would of found it nestled in a little country village miles from anywhere, but what a find with it’s high volted ceilings and brick walls.
This cake was all about simplicity, something that blended with the surroundings and the relaxed feel of the day. On arrival I was greeted by the groom to be which was really lovely, I rarely get to see couples on the day as I slip in & out setting up the cake and am usually gone before they arrive for their ceremony.
The cake flavours were salted caramel, vanilla and lemon drizzle dressed with raspberries, strawberries & blueberries and tiny bunches of Gypsophila. The couple had matching vanilla cupcakes topped with fruit, a sprig of mint and a shake or two of icing sugar.
